A Red Shoe Odyssey

Started in 2011, A Red Shoe Odyssey is an ongoing visual project documenting the adventures of the red shoes as they are gentayangan — wandering, haunting, traversing — through various corners of the world.

The series of images here can be seen as a companion to the novel, but just like the red shoes in Hans Christian Andersen’s story, they can escape the owner’s feet and have a life of their own.
